True match is undoubtably one of, if not the most definitive of all drugstore foundations. Growing up, I’d watch my mother smoothly apply her L’Oréal foundation in the early mornings. Her makeup routine always began by reaching for the L’Oréal bottle in her unbelievably clean makeup bag. Before all the overwhelming skin makeup options we have today, back in the day, L’Oréal was always that … Continue reading REVIEW: L’ORÉAL TRUE MATCH SUPER BLENDABLE FOUNDATION

Inspired by Fenty Beauty’s ‘uncensored’ Stunna Lip Paint (worn in this edit) I wanted to push myself a little further out of my comfort zone and add some clashing yet complimenting shadows for my eyes, specifically for the liner. I achieved this by thinly tight-lining the top lash line of my eyes with black eyeliner, gradually blended in with black eyeshadow to intensify and applied … Continue reading MAKEUP MOOD: PINK + RED 80’S ALLURE
Happy belated New Year Everyone! So sorry I wasn’t able to blog towards the end of the year as I’ve had lots of work to catch up on. Out with the cut creases of 2018 and in … Continue reading JANUARY ‘19 MAKEUP MOOD: 60’S PALE BLUES
Since my last blog post was a more laid back holiday look, I thought it would only be fair to publish my own rendition of the very ultimate but wearable, Christmas Day makeup look. In all realness, It’s nothing more than a glittery eye and a dark plum lip. But I suppose an event like the winter holidays makes a look like this perfect for … Continue reading CHRISTMAS DAY MAKEUP LOOK
Happy December 1st, everyone! Party season is here and so I thought why not start of the festive looks with one that I have been obsessing over recently. A glitz glam smokey eye inspired by model, Bella Hadid created by makeup artist, Hung Vanngo. This look is quite dramatic although, something I liked about the eyes in particular was that it focuses on the depth … Continue reading MAKEUP EDIT: GLITZ GLAM, BELLA HADID INSPIRED LOOK
It’s always the smallest things that make life worth living for. Take a little bit of time out of your day to look around yourself, spend time with the people that make you feel happy and content. This look is by far one of the most complicated eye-looks I’ve ever created and I’m not even exaggerating lol. It was inspired by a look I saw on a model photographed around the 60’s in Italy. Unfortunately, I do not know the credits to the photo – but one thing I do know is that the look was fierce and I couldn’t wait to … Continue reading MAKEUP LOOK: FALL RETRO VIBES
Not too long ago, beauty mogul and makeup YouTuber, NikkiTutorials released a Halloween glam makeup tutorial! I love Halloween, although in all honesty, my efforts for creating a variety of Halloween looks throughout the month of October are just none existent (as you can already tell) no matter how hard I try. With that being said, watching her tutorial on this look inspired me to … Continue reading ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN GLAM | INSPIRED BY NIKKIE TUTORIALS
Happy Sunday, Everyone! This look is quite an advanced glam as I wanted to experiment with graphic eyeliner in combination with a statement lip also. A very vibrant, nod to the ’80s wearable look that I think will be perfect for any upcoming festive events this fall/winter or just to try out and have fun with creating. I gave the base a more glass finish … Continue reading MAKEUP MOOD: SHOCK WAVE
I’ve noticed that around this time of year, that I begin to regularly receive questions as to how I achieve a more flawless foundation look without looking too cakey and just all-around even in tone with my makeup. Now, of course, liquid foundation and concealer play a huge part in my Autumn/Winter makeup routine but not as much as powder foundation does, as this product/step … Continue reading TOP 5 AFFORDABLE POWDER FOUNDATIONS FOR FLAWLESS SKIN
I don’t really wear red lipsticks often (just based on personal preference). But whenever I do, it always becomes a rather strategic process for me. I made a post some time ago about my red lip routine, mentioning the time it took for me to become more comfortable and confident enough to wear red lips out when I felt like it. Now I know exactly … Continue reading MY SUMMER RED LIP ROUTINE
I’ve recently been noticing this new re-birth of 60’s style makeup. Although it had already made its influence through many other modernised renditions of the 60’s look over the decades, this year has really become an interesting time for different makeup artists and non-makeup artists to experiment with the simplicity of single, bold eyeshadows. Paired with, of course, graphic liner. For this look, I not … Continue reading MAKEUP LOOK: Bold Eyeshadow Inspired by the ’60s
Greetings, everyone! I hope you’re all well today. **Sighs, followed by face palm** I know I have not been the most consistent with content since before my birthday back in May (btw makeup deets on the yellow look I wore will be uploaded soon). But this time, I promise I’m back on track and here to stay. Okay – so for this edit, I really … Continue reading MAKEUP LOOK: TWO-TONE EYESHADOW
I essentially wanted to go for a bronzy look with matte brown hues, however, I ended up with a much rosier result merging with red and copper tones. I found that this look was so easy to create, only taking me up to 30 minutes to finish (not bad ^-^), it certainly gives me some nostalgic vibes of the late 90’s to the early 2000’s … Continue reading MAKEUP LOOK: Bronzy, Rosy Mood.
In this blog post, I’ll be reviewing a couple of products from Nip+Fab that I ordered not too long ago. Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! Today’s blog post is a makeup look which I must say, is a little experimental ^-^. For some reason, I’ve become obsessed with the colour green lately. I felt like … Continue reading MAKEUP LOOK: GREEN GLAM!
Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! For this blog post, I wanted to focus on a particular makeup theme that still inspires my makeup looks to this day. The ’90s supermodel era embodied the sculpted, magnificence and sultriness in Makeup. All matte, … Continue reading Brown Tones ‘90s Supermodel Inspired Makeup Look

I chose to do this makeup look simply because I’m a lover of 60s eye looks. However, this one carries elements of futurist vibes to it. This makeup is a little more dramatic on the eyes. I started with a shimmery dark brown shade on the eyelids and blended it in with dark matte shades. I added a bit of warmth by blending in red shadows on top and finished with a black liquid liner for a doll like effect. I also applied some bottom lash mascara to complement the eyeshadow … Continue reading MAKEUP OF THE DAY (BLOGMAS: Day 11)

This Makeup Edit is inspired by a Jean Shrimpton Photograph, Shot by Bern Stern for Vogue in 1965. Out of all makeup looks/trends, the most influential decade of Makeup had to be the 60s. For the past couple of years, I’ve found a tradition of having a 60s/70s inspired makeup look for every New Year’s Eve. I’m not sure why that is exactly but 60s … Continue reading Makeup EDIT|’60s Eye Look (BLOGMAS: Day 3)
Happy 1st of December, Everyone! Today’s makeup look is probably one of the simplest yet enhancing makeup looks I’ve done on The Belper. After a full Downton Abbey series binge watch one weekend (oops), I couldn’t help but take note of the makeup looks aristocratic women wore back in the early 1900s to late 1920s – little to nothing, but something. Of course, the makeup … Continue reading Downton Abbey Inspired Makeup Look (BLOGMAS: Day 1)
This editorial is inspired by an eyeshadow look I saw on Shalom Harlow when interviewed by Tim Blanks, click here to see Shalom Harlow’s makeup in her interview. So this week I’ve had the opportunity to try out a couple of organic, skin care products from Irum Cosmetics! This vegan and cruelty-free brand currently feature two organic products on their site that they’ve kindly sent me to share my thoughts and review.
As someone who wears makeup more than often, I never go to bed without making sure my skin is at least cleansed or better yet treated as needed. For someone like me, it is extremely important to take the time to care for my skin, especially to ensure I have a smooth base for makeup application before anything else. With that being said, I’m thrilled to have tested, used and experienced these two main products from Irum Cosmetics, their Green Clay Mask Powder and their classic Pure and Organic, Argan Oil!
Mix 1 tsp of clay with some water or Rosewater to make a thin paste
Apply the paste onto face, skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes
Wash off with lukewarm water
For external use only.
Some Benefits:
helps to reduce the outbreak of blemishes
Great for balancing oily skin
Absorbs waste such as harmful toxins and dirt
Deeply cleanses the skin
Helps Stimulate and improve blood circulation
Tightens and lifts the skin
I must quickly mention that the packaging is perfect for this powder mask! Seeing as it is powder, the product can get everywhere quite quickly. But with this jar I love how sealed it is even after use, making it easy for me to travel with it!
Application
So the application process was simple and easy as I used a clean plastic container or even the palm of my hand at times to quickly apply the product.
It has a refreshing, distinct smell (like green clay…..obvs, Stacy), but when applied for the first time I felt this cooling, self-distributing method going on, on my skin – it was lovely! Felt like a spa treatment, to be honest.
I evenly applied the product all over the face and I’d say within 10 minutes of waiting, I felt my face tightening up like crazy. It felt like some sort of facelift – like I myself was clay drying up into a statue. It’s clear the mask was certainly doing its job! 20 minutes then go by and I’m washing it off with lukewarm water as recommended. I also tried with cold water just because and both results wowed me!
My face looked and felt tightened yet incredibly lifted! my Mother even noticed a difference in the texture of my skin. It may sound odd but my face also felt lighter. The mask really did help rid of the impurities and oiliness that remained on my skin – definitely a weekly treatment that makes all the difference in texture! I enjoyed it.
Mini Rating
Application: 4/5
Drying: 5/5
Feeling and texture of the mask after 20 minutes: 4/5
Results: 5/5
My Thoughts
I fell in LOVE with the fact that this mask powder is extremely versatile. Instead of mixing just a few drop of water, you could also add, Aloe Vera, Rose Water, Honey, Cucumber Juice, Coconut for hydration, even Lavender, Cactus and so forth!
This has definitely got me hooked onto the powder mask train – will last longer and for sure give my skin the weekly treatment it needs! I personally think this product is great for anyone, especially any makeup wearers or those who spend a lot of time outdoors!
Happy Monday! Sometimes it’s hard to narrow down a simple yet effective face routine without including a lot of products. It’s easy to lose track of your weight and fall of the grid subconsciously – I experienced weight gain and frequent headaches, the unhealthy foods I’d put in my body began to show all throughout my skin. So I finally got round to trying out the glossy lid look. A popular trend right now where you use eye gloss or even lipgloss (what I used) on your lids to create an ethereal glow to your makeup.
