REVIEW: Supercharged Bundle Skincare Range by Alya Skin | THE BELPER

There’s nothing more rewarding than the experience of a good, illuminating, detoxifying and rejuvenating skincare ritual after a long day! But my goodness is it tricky to find the right combination of products for such a facial at home. As someone who doesn’t accept every collaboration, I choose the companies I work with wisely and after hearing and reading a lot of positive reviews about this brand, I decided to give their products a try. In an age where skincare is easily accessible and everywhere nowadays, trusting products can be quite the task. Recently I’ve taken not only more interest but a more holistic approach to what my skin likes and does not. Putting me in the perfect place when I was kindly asked to try out Alya Skin’s Supercharged Bundle Range, so I decided to give myself some time (a month to be exact) to use and understand this skincare line.

My Skin Type: Oily-Combination Skin (With Occasional Dry Patches)

As someone with blemish-prone skin, I wanted to fully wait out my experience to see whether these products were as good as their very popular Australian Pink Clay Mask (also reviewed in this blog, scroll to read). I care about what is going onto my skin through key ingredients that carry more natural elements. Another thing I noticed from Alya Skin, they keep it simple.

This line includes:

  • Pink, Bamboo & Cotton Facial Cloth
  • Foaming Micellar Cleanser
  • Pomegranate Facial Scrub
  • Australian Pink Clay Mask
  • Supercharged Vitamin C Serum
  • Australian Native Berries Facial Moisturiser

THE REVIEW

(in the order of Alya Skin’s skincare system)

01. Foaming Micellar Cleanser

Alya Skin Claims:

  • Rejuvenate, Hydrate & Cleanse
  • 2-in-1: Removes Make-up and Dirt
  • Speeds Up Healing of Pimples
  • Hydrating, Non-Drying Formula Leaving Skin Supple & Bright
  • 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

RRP: £12.50

I’m quite back-and-forth when it comes to foaming cleansers. My first foaming cleanser that had tea tree oil in it and that was enough torture for me. I recently became open to the idea of foam cleansers again after years of ignoring them but this one was beyond what I ever thought a foam cleanser could achieve. Now I’m not saying that my skin became an Instagram filter overnight – no. But I did vastly notice how receptive my skin agreed to the cleanser because it was non-irritating. I cannot mention enough how rare it is to find a cleanser that *does* operate in the way it says it performs (especially for *sensitive* skin). And though this cleanser is not something I’d depend on for heavy-duty cleansing, I love how gentle it is on the skin. Definitely, a reliable product to use for any hormonal or panic breakouts as it will not spread or contaminate any blemishes which I appreciate.

What I liked about the product:
  1. Extremely gentle on the skin and non-irritating
  2. Does help dry out impurities and skin blemishes
  3. Brightening look to the skin right after use
  4. A foaming wash that foams – lasts quite long on the skin
  5. Good for oily-combination & normal skin
  6. Maintains hydration
  7. Easy to use (sturdy pump)

I would recommend this cleanser to anyone with sensitive skin who wants to tame spots and maintain a healthy complexion. No matter how late I am cleansing my face at night admittedly, I never regret using this cleanser afterwards – it’s almost as if it contributes towards the blueprint of lifted and brightend skin the next day, which I’ve significantly noticed since using this. Its process carries a more subtle effect which I like. It smells clean and natural, non-overpowering and calm in it’s aroma. This cleanser is infused with witch hazel (known to fight off acne and skin irritation with natural anti-inflammatory properties according to healthline) and watermelon seed oil, a detoxifying antioxidant that helps fight against acne and hyperpigmentation by fighting uneven skin tone which provides vitamins A, B and E all whilst working as an anti-ageing nutrient with natural collagen production properties.

02. Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator

Alya Skin’s Claims:

  • Gently exfoliate with Pomegranate Seed
  • Combat Acne, Inflammation & Redness
  • Rich in Vitamin C and Antioxidants
  • Removes Dead Skin for Fresher and Smoother Skin
  • 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

RRP: £17.50

The facial exfoliator took me by pleasant surprise. It’s hydrating and none-drying texture allows the skin to easily exfoliate off any excess skin cells, leaving the skin texture feeling smooth and supple. This exfoliator stands out because of its integrated pomegranate seed powder, which carries multiple benefits (scroll to read).

What I liked about the product:
  1. This has a none-scratchy texture
  2. Smells wonderfully natural and clean
  3. Leaves the skin feeling soft and polished
  4. Balances and hydrates the skin
  5. Gently exfoliates the skin effectively

The facial exfoliator is so gentle, it’s safe to use every day or every other day depending on your skin’s needs. The great thing is that this is for all skin types and will indeed suit everyone’s skin. At some point, I couldn’t find the right words to describe this until I figured it out. It works as a skin polish. But as an exfoliator.

03. Australian Pink Clay Mask

Alya Skin’s Claims:

  • Australia’s Highest Rated Pink Clay Mask
  • Detoxify & Brighten the Skin
  • Defends Against Pollutants, Dirt & Toxins
  • Fights Acne & Redness
  • 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

RRP: £29.95

This mask is one of the very few clays masks I’ve used that does draw out impurities. I find this intense yet none-invasive. It’s a high-quality clay mask that not only smells incredible but promotes skin regeneration and improved skin texture. It’s whipped pink-clay consistency applies cold then dries down to a white finish after waiting for 10 minutes.

What I liked about the product:
  1. It displays a cooling effect on the skin
  2. It’s lovely aromatic (natural) scent
  3. The fading of hyperpigmentation
  4. The mask is easy to apply and use for sensitive skin
  5. It’s safe enough to use every other day

I started to notice a difference in my skin after the second week of using this mask. In terms of brightness, it works! But, you have to be consistent with it. Its process is very gradual and progressive, which I’ve found to prefer as it’s easier for my skin to adapt and change over time.

04. Vitamin C Supercharged Serum

Alya Skin’s Claims:

  • Brighten & Protect with 4 Vitamin C-Powered Aussie Natives.
  • Boost Hydration with Hyaluronic Acid
  • Protects from Free Radical Damage
  • Improves Collagen Production & Skin Elasticity
  • 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

RRP: £24.95

The Supercharged Serum holds rich and active ingredients from Native Australia. This includes Kakadu Plum, Desert Lime, Finger Lime Caviar and Lilly Pilly. The serum also encompasses the well-loved Hyaluronic Acid. Pretty much beauty in a bottle (scroll & click for more information).

What I liked about the product:
  1. It’s lightweight consistency
  2. The cooling, gel-like texture
  3. Its hydrating and glowy finish to the skin

This serum has a deeply nourishing and soothing effect and after using an exfoliator and clay mask it’s no surprise the skin would take so well to the gel-like product. It’s non-drying nor sticky in texture. Once applied, the skin feels plump and refreshed!

05. Australian Native Berries Moisturiser

Alya Skin’s Claims:

  • Made With Aussie Native Berries
  • Rich in Antioxidants, Vitamin C and Vitamin E
  • Promote Collagen Production
  • Rehydrates, Repairs & Restructures the Skin
  • 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

RRP: £17.50

I think we can all agree that there’s just something that never gets old when one finds that perfect nourishing face moisturiser. And even as someone who predominantly has oily skin, I can still appreciate a good hydration lock for the skin. The Native Berries Moisturiser by Alya Skin is no different. It finalises all the previous nutrients received and brings restoration back to the skin seamlessly.

What I liked about the product:
  1. The fact that it contains skin-repairing Vitamin E
  2. Includes macadamia oil which saves me time from adding extra oils into my routine
  3. This is super nourishing in texture and promotes healing skin properties infused with three Australian Native Berries

Conclusion

This skincare bundle range is all one will need to begin and maintain a healthy skin care regimen. The line has a thoughtfulness to it and I’ll always appreciate a company that chooses to evolve whilst sticking by its core products (five to be exact) for those with unpredictable skin. It has the versatility for any skin-type to benefit from these products. I think, for what you get, you are receiving value for what you buy.
