This Friday I’ll be travelling to visit family, so I thought why not post something about my top five makeup essentials when it comes to grabbing your multi-purpose products on the go.
This blush palette is my most versatile blush palette. Especially for this holiday season, you have this intense, rich, warm berry shade that can not only be used as a blush but as an eyeshadow. the middle shade has this duo effect iridescent/shimmery finish filled with all the warmth a blush could need, great for defining the eyes or for adding a wash of colour to the eyelids and lastly probably my favourite orange base shade, perfect for blending in with your bronzer and highlighter together and a great transition shade for the eyes. This compact palette is what I call an alternative to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – great for travelling.
I bought this palette not knowing just how much I’d use it… I truly use this every time I do my makeup, I use “Panther” (bottom right, black/brown shade) on my brows and use “Meow” (pale, matte shade) as an eyeshadow base (that I’ve just hit pan on :/).
These colours look like you wouldn’t reach for them but they are in fact all you need to start creating bold eyeshadow looks. The quality of these shadows blend like a dream and hold like no other shadows I’ve used (apart from ABH) but anyways if you’d like to experiment with different textures/finishes and colours. I think this would be the perfect palette – not to mention the pretty compact packaging! ^-^
After running out of my usual M.A.C. Studio Careblend Pressed Powder I was in search of a new, quality powder. So I went to a person I knew would be honest and upfront about which powder to choose, my Mother (lol). She’s been an avid user of Loreal products for a while now and was actually shocked to find out that I had never used their face powder. Long story short, I love this compact. It’s not only durable but it also comes with a nice mirror inside so that you can always touch up on the go. Doesn’t cake up, holds up well and looks immaculate when applied with a light hand.
The. Best. Bronzer. Ever. I’d compare this to the Guerlain 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder. The bright pink blends in lavishly into the rest of my makeup without looking dull – just gives the right amount of colour and warmth to the skin. I also use it on the eyes for a clean look.
And last but not least, a lip product! This gloss has a non-sticky yet hydrating and nourishing formula that lasts throughout the day. The pigmentation of this is phenomenal and I absolutely must mention, the colour stains the lips without drying them. Not only do I like to do gradient lips with this, I like to apply it right on top of the apples of my cheeks and on the bridge of my nose (blended in well of course) for a flushed look without looking clownish. Great for no makeup, makeup days!
So these are the products that are currently packed in my makeup bag and ready to go. Comment below if you will also have any travelling makeup must-haves this holiday!
Thank you so much for stopping by The Belper!
Lots of love,
