I wanted something easy to re-create without any fuss or a ton of products. I really wanted a light approach to the makeup on the eyes and skin, focusing on light shadow and enhancing my natural features. It’s no secret that I have a thing for pink eyeshadow because it is a colour that can really elevate eyes, nothing too prominent but softly applied making such a difference.
This is a simple look that anyone can re-create, a light glam suitable for occasions, going out or anytime you feel comfortable to wear it really.
I actually used an iridescent pink mineral blush as eyeshadow from M&S (Discontinued) there are many different alternatives to this shade, similar here*.
MASCARA – E.L.F Cosmetics Lengthening Mascara*
FOUNDATION – L’Oréal True Match Foundation in 8N “Cappuccino”*
CONCEALER – L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer in “Fawn”*
POWDER – L’Oréal Pressed Powder in “8W”* (Only underneath my eyes and centre of my face)
HIGHLIGHTER – E.L.F Cosmetics in “Blush Gems”*
Covergirl Trushine Lipcolor in “Blushberry Shine” (discontinued) any hydrating lipstick or tinted lip-balm works well.
I applied MAC Select Cover Up Concealer in “NW45″* on the centre of my lips to give a nude lip look.
Makeup should be fun, an outlet for people to experiment, get creative with colours, different shadows or even to give illusions. It used to be (and still is now) a therapeutic hobby for me because I can express what I’m feeling on my face pretty much. I personally prefer small kits of multi tasking products with maximum impact rather than large quantities of makeup with only one purpose like huge palettes. Even though I always like to encourage natural beauty and simple ways to enhance natural features, everyone should be able to wear whatever they want however they want as there’s something so captivating about one’s individuality than everyone looking the same.
Thank you so much for stopping by The Belper!
Lots of love,
